The Restylane Family of Products

The Restylane family offers one of the most comprehensive portfolios of hyaluronic acid fillers available, with each product specifically designed and FDA-approved for particular treatment areas and aesthetic concerns. All Restylane products are indicated for patients over the age of 21.

• Restylane and Restylane-L are designed for mid-to-deep injection into facial tissue to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds (the lines that run from the sides of your nose to the corners of your mouth). These versatile fillers are also used for lip enhancement to add volume and definition. 
• Restylane Lyft is formulated for deep implantation to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, particularly nasolabial folds. It's also FDA-approved for cheek augmentation and correcting age-related midface contour deficiencies, making it ideal for patients experiencing volume loss in the cheek area. Additionally, Restylane Lyft is indicated for injection into the dorsal hand to correct volume loss and improve the appearance of aging hands.
• Restylane Silk is specifically designed for lip augmentation and correction of perioral wrinkles (the vertical lines around the mouth, sometimes called "lipstick lines"). Its fine-tuned formulation is ideal for delicate lip tissue and creating subtle, natural-looking lip enhancement.
• Restylane Kysse is indicated for lip augmentation and correction of upper perioral wrinkles. This innovative filler uses XpresHAn Technology, which allows the lips to move naturally and expressively while maintaining smooth, beautiful volume.
• Restylane Refyne is designed for mid-to-deep injection to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, particularly nasolabial folds. Its flexible gel moves naturally with your facial expressions, preventing a stiff or overdone appearance.
• Restylane Defyne addresses moderate to severe, deep facial wrinkles and folds such as nasolabial folds with a more robust formulation. It's also FDA-approved for chin augmentation to improve the chin profile in patients with mild to moderate chin retrusion (a recessed chin).
• Restylane Contour is specifically formulated for cheek augmentation and correction of midface contour deficiencies, helping to restore youthful cheek volume and definition.
• Restylane Eyelight is the latest addition to the Restylane family, designed specifically for improving infraorbital hollowing (under-eye hollows or "tear troughs"). This delicate area requires a specialized filler formulation, and Restylane Eyelight is uniquely suited for creating a refreshed, well-rested appearance.

How Restylane Works

All Restylane products use hyaluronic acid (HA), a naturally occurring substance found in your skin that attracts and binds water molecules. As we age, our body's natural production of HA decreases, leading to volume loss, wrinkle formation, and loss of skin elasticity. By replenishing HA through dermal filler injections, Restylane products restore volume beneath the skin, smooth wrinkles and folds, enhance facial contours, and improve overall skin quality.

The Restylane Treatment Experience

Restylane treatments are performed in our comfortable office setting and typically take 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the areas being treated. During your consultation, our Certified Aesthetic Injector will assess your facial anatomy, discuss your aesthetic goals, and recommend the most appropriate Restylane products for your needs. Many Restylane products contain lidocaine, a local anesthetic, to improve comfort during injection.

Results are visible immediately, though some initial swelling may temporarily enhance the effect. Final results become apparent within one to two weeks as any swelling subsides and the filler settles into place. The longevity of results varies by product, treatment area, and individual metabolism, with most Restylane treatments lasting from 6 to 18 months. Touch-up treatments can be performed to maintain your refreshed appearance.

Recovery is minimal, with most patients returning to normal activities immediately. Common side effects include swelling, redness, pain, bruising, headache, tenderness, lump formation, and itching at the injection site. These effects are typically mild and resolve within a few days to a week.
